Criminal possession of a firearm can be charged to a person who is not a law enforcer or a private investigator but performs like one or if an individual enters an establishment which prohibits the possession of firearms under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

A person who is guilty of criminal possession of a firearm is not allowed to apply for a concealed carry permit in Maine for the next 5 years after the conviction.

It is highly recommended by the www.nationalcarryacademy.com that carriers should stay away from establishments that are posted.
