Carrying of firearms on state, national and other public lands is allowed by the law in Maine, but open carry is not permitted. Carriers should possess a valid license when going to St. Parks. Baxter Street Park does not allow carrying of firearms. Maine resident or non-resident permit is needed when carrying in Acadia National Park.
