National Carry Academy4 DUMBEST ANTI GUN COMMENTS Part 1

“If you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.” — Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colorado)
Apparently this Representative doesn’t understand one of the most basic concepts of firearms. She seems to believe that a magazine can only be used a single time, and then discarded. I’m not aware of any magazine that can only be used one time and then thrown away. Even stripper clips, which by price, size and availability could be thrown away after a single use are often used over and over. Remember folks, these people vote on laws that work to limit your rights, remember to vote to limit their time in office.
“The Second Amendment comes from the right to protect themselves from slave revolts, and from uprisings by Native Americans. A revolt from people who were stolen from their land or revolt from people whose land was stolen from, that’s what the genesis of the Second Amendment is.” — Actor Danny Glover
Actually well before the United States was formed, even before the Colonial States was formed, there were gun control laws. The first laws enacted by Dutch settlers made it a crime punishable by death to sell guns to Native Americans. Several different visitors and colonials enacted similar rules and laws regarding trading weapons with natives.
The majority of many modern gun control laws were enacted by Democrats to prevent freed slaves from acquiring firearms. Gun control is deeply rooted in racism, and groups like the NRA aided in training freed slaves in the use of arms. The NRA also organized training for black men and women during the civil rights movement, training which was used to defend themselves from the Democrat led KKK.
“An assault rifle is what they generally call them, but yes fully automatic……. Manufacturers are allowed to build them that way with what’s called a bullet button, you take the tip of a bullet and press a button and it turns your gun into an illegal assault weapon (Full auto), but it failed here” – Gregg Jarrett during Fox News interview
I literally can’t even read this right now. I hear a lot of dumb gun stuff, like, a ton. This takes the supreme cake though. A bullet button, if you’re unfamiliar is used in California to convert the weapon from a detachable magazine, to a fixed magazine, which requires a tool to remove the magazine. The button in no way affects the way the weapon functions outside of the magazine.
“I don’t understand why anyone objects to getting rid of automatic weapons. Automatic weapons are not for hunting, they do nothing. They are only there to kill. You’ll notice a lot of things that happen, happen with automatic weapons.” Whoopi Goldberg the View.
Wow, this is not true even a little, not even close, but don’t let me correct it, Senator Rand Paul was on the view that day and corrected her rather well, his statements below,
“Truly automatic weapons we don’t have. We banned truly automatic weapons in I think 1934. What we have is not automatic weapons. It’s semi-automatic. So they fire in a fairly fast sequence, but you can’t pull the trigger and they come like a machine gun. Those are no longer out there.”
Paul then explained that “people do hunt and people also do shooting and sports shooting and target shooting” with semi-automatic weapons.
“Come to Kentucky and I’ll introduce you,” he told Goldberg. “There are a lot of people who like and enjoy this as a sport.”
Paul added, “But the other problem is if we take ownership away of specific types of guns, you really have to modify — something that big has to be either legislation or possibly a Constitutional amendment.” Senator Rand Paul
This raps up my favorite four, well for this week anyway. I know there are many, many more out there, and more to come, but I’ll wrap it up for now. Stay Safe and Carry on.
